What is TrackHands?

TrackHands is a macOS application that uses your device's camera and computer vision technology to detect when your hands move towards your mouth. It helps you build better habits by providing timely reminders.

Privacy & Data

Does TrackHands store my camera footage?

No. TrackHands processes all camera data locally on your device and doesn't store or transmit any video footage. The app works completely offline.

Does TrackHands require internet connection?

No. Once installed, TrackHands works entirely offline. No internet connection is required.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't detecting my hands correctly

Try the following steps:

  • Click the TrackHands icon in your menu bar and select Open preview to see what the camera detects
  • Ensure you have good lighting in your room
  • Make sure your camera is unobstructed
  • Try restarting the app

Camera permissions not working

TrackHands requires camera access to function. You can enable this in System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Camera.
